PolyInnovator Music

Another one of my future phases, but something I wanted to mention ahead of time. Quite like Gaming, music has been in my life, and I have always expressed interest in multiple genres.

It seems that I have taken the polymathic approach to games and music, and in the latter I would go from metal to Bollywood, to even europop. Music from multiple languages, multiple genres, and different styles of artists.

From this vast interest pool it has given me a lot of ideas of what could be done. Such as mixing an epic music (genre) style song, with a pop formula. Many things like this, that just haven’t really been done yet for the most part. I have already started writing songs too.

If anything I want a phase of content to be around the power of music. Maybe I can have on the Neuroscientist guests again on the PolyCast, and talk to them about the power of music too. Even right now I am listening to ambient space music to get myself in the mood to write.

I was listening to old school pop like “Scotty Doesn't Know”, then it switched to K-pop, and now something with no lyrics at all. That divergent interest pool allows for some unique situations. One of my old friends used to give me crap for wanting to have a “Soundtrack to my life”.

It seems that Spotify, and even YouTube to a degree, have found that out as well. Constantly sending me songs that the algorithm thinks I will like, and most of the time I do!

I have spent the better most of my adult years at karaoke. Teaching myself how to sing, and perform in front of people. You would think a modest dive bar wouldn’t be that fruitful, but you would be wrong. It has given me a vast amount of different experiences that I had to pay attention to, and learn from. I also would sing with the band playing down the street too. In both cases giving me experience singing.

That history of singing who knows how many songs has now left me with a skill I can’t take further where I am at. The best thing for me would be to get on a bigger stage, but for now I am not sure how to go about that.

Maybe AGT or Voice, but for now I will stick to my content plans. Once I go onto one of those shows, or get better at some Digital Audio Workstation (I even have a MIDI keyboard), then I will start this music phase!
