Relaunch of the PolyInnovator Website!
Ages ago a young lad by the name of Dustin, learned what was called #Wordpress. On that fateful day a #blogging legend was born!
I created my first blog the United Living Construct (now on PolyInnovator), to be a method of world change. #MAKEACHANGE
However as time came on I realized I wasn’t going to be able to sustainably make money to grow the brand. I didn’t create it to do that really, as it was meant to be an inspiration. Although along the way I learned a lot about content creation, SEO, digital marketing, and most of all blogging.
I eventually came to Medium years ago, and at the time decided to host my blog there. In recent years I once again realized I needed to host my own to be able to do more than writing. I created my site https://polyinnovator.space/ , and at the time it was great. However I had bought themes that came with plugins preloaded. Recently my website page builder broke, WP Bakery, and in turn destroyed my hopes and dreams… but in all seriously broke my site (that sucked).
Press F here.
There is always the factor of going to an old backup, but I had been fed up with it. That was when I decided to revamp it with a new builder, and mind you I used every single main one out there. However in the end #elementor came in clutch. #FTW
Upon this realization that the new site was better than all that came before it, there was this spark again. That feeling of “I can do it”, and that urged me to write this post here today. I wanted to share this magnificent feeling, and accomplishment with you all. As I really think the new features will help out a lot of people.
Self-Education and Innovation at its Core
I created my U.L.C. brand as an organization in mind, but this new personal brand PolyInnovator was meant to be an extension of… me. An online reputation of sorts, that may one day stir up the old brand in its wake.
I create content based around two pillars mainly (at least for now), those are Self-Education and Innovation.
Self-Edu
This is a term used to describe #autodidactic endeavors. I first started really pursuing learning around the time I started blogging back in 2011/2012. That was my first foray into #MOOCS and courses.
I actually got a little out of hand and curated a list of over 400 courses, and you can learn more about that from my blogs here and on the site.
I started organizing them into semesters, and eventually I had built an oversized degree of sorts. That ended up becoming what I coined to be a Modular Degree.
A self-edu endeavor framework, that is meant to help you organize your learning pursuits.
I created a free mini course on Self-Education even, which is on the site!
Innovation
I want to work in Smart City Development, and global innovation endeavors. There is no Innovation degree, and really very few smart city ones (masters only). That meant that if I wanted to learn those fields I would have to make my own education.
I started learning a lot, and still have a ways to go! ;)
Using this brand I hope to be able to expand my influence on this space, and create great content based around innovating… everything.
What is a PolyInnovator?
Speaking of innovating everything, I even innovated words! PolyInnovator comes from my ideal career: “To be a global Innovation Polymath; driven to innovate technology and ideology!”.
Polymath simply means someone who has mastered many areas, and essentially is a jack of all trades. However with my inclination towards innovation/smart cities. I thought it prudent to revolve around that.
Thus the Polymath of Innovation was born.
Polymath Huh?
I’ve always known in my heart that I can’t just do one thing with my life, and that has lead me to be flaky with some projects growing up. However I also have gained an invaluable deep width of knowledge. One that I think is perfect for content creation. To really be successful in this sort of field you need a level of diversification in skills.
Some areas need depth, and so I’ve had to spend a lot of time learning the ins and outs. However I really believe that I can be successful, and more importantly make a difference. Or as I like to say #MAKEACHANGE
I sincerely hope that you take the time to check out the site
