What is the Point of PolyInnovator?
Reaching for new heights in life. That is really it, but I guess you may be curious as to what that means. Well for one it is a platform for every future career I will have.
It is a lot easier to take an existing following to a new topic or platform, than it is to build up different ones over time. That is sort of what you’re doing when you build out different careers.
You go to one job, build up your network there, and then repeat the process. However with an online network, following, and friends they can just adapt to the new you. If they don’t want to, then they move on.
It is a more efficient process for everyone, as having a personal brand allows me to market myself effectively. That then lets you the viewer/reader know what to expect for the most part.
I see the various careers being built out over the course of “phases”, which are basically an organizational method I use in my PolyInnovation Operating System I created. Phases break into Projects, Projects break into Goals and Tasks, and then you work on those.
With all of the various areas I am an expert or at least well versed in, they work as different arms of the octopus that is my content ecosystem.
I’m not a one trick pony I guess you could say, and these phases are the result. Now at this point I am juggling a lot, but that is teaching me a lot about productivity. Not to mention how to manage a multidisciplinary life, which in turn later on will lead to more great content.
Building out this content ecosystem gives me a consistency layer. One of my online friends always tells me “man you post so much!”, and I always think I’m not doing enough. However that is because of the redundancy of this system.
Even when I think I am not doing enough, I am still doing more than the average creator. I also am working on my content repurposing strategies and silos. Which need tweaking in order to get right as a solopreneur, or even a small team.
Since I am still in this learning stage, let alone sort of fight or flight even, as we all were caught by surprise when quarantine hit. Most of us are still recovering financially.
I have set in motion multiple revenue streams, at least started them for PolyInnovator. Allowing me to work on the business side of things, and right now the main thing is the subscription model on my blog.
